Oops! Magazine
By the students, for the students.
Cuz, you asked for it.

Oops! Magazine was born on Thursday, 12th of July 2007, at the stroke of noon across all 6 foodcourts in Singapore Polytechnic. It was an idea proposed by a lecturer from the School of Communication, Arts and Social Sciences who then gathered a few of his colleagues to start the polys new lifestyle magazine which is for students by students themselves. Enthusiastic students then signed themselves up for a chance to design and write for the magazine.

Oops! was originally publicised as Spunk. As in the Oxford dictionary, Spunk means the courage to carry on. Part of a massive guerilla marketing plan, the magazine was then re-branded as Oops!.

Oops! Magazine is a student publication supported by the School of Communication, Arts and Social Sciences of Singapore Polytechnic. It will be published at every half year (per semester) and is for internal circulation only. The magazine is the one and only lifestyle magazine in Singapore Polytechnic with a circulation to more than one third of the 15,000-strong student body. Oops! aims to bring human interest stories, latest fashion and technology reviews, lifestyle and entertainment news as well as sports and health tips to the campus goers!

As a magazine run by students, SP students will be able to relate to the design and content of Oops!. The magazine is run solely by the student editorial team. The publicity team plans the publicity campaign, secure sponsorships and advertisers while the design team design the entire magazine by themselves. Our sub-editors and writers set the direction of the articles and decide the topics and articles to be featured.

Oops! Website
By the students, for the students.
Speak up and express yourself.

What began in August 2007 as a blog for all the news and happenings campus wide has finally metamorphosised into what you see here today.

The Oops! Website endeavours to further build up the Oops! fan base through the use of interactive media, providing a more fruitful and rewarding experience for students.

On 21st November 2007, www.weareoops.com was revamped and officially launched with a spanking new look, featuring an all new slick design and stylish interface, all because... you asked for it.

The Oops! Web Team consists of six determined students with the pluck and nerve to embark on this new journey together. They gritted their teeth and toiled long and hard into the nights to make the site a reality, giving it their very best shot. Their hope is that the Oops! Website will act as online supplement to the magazine, allowing readers to delve deeper into the Oops! universe in-between issues. Their ultimate goal is to serve as an engaging medium for students to voice out their opinions and ideas, and to foster a strong sense of belonging and camaraderie amongst SPians.
